In addition to the above, applicants must also satisfy the following requirements: Audition and Interview The BMus audition on the applicant’s primary study instrument will consist of three to four pieces that exhibit contrasting style periods (as appropriate to the instrument), tempi, and expressive and technical demands. The entire audition program should be no less than twenty minutes and should demonstrate the applicant’s ability to handle large musical works. At the time of the audition, applicants will be interviewed by the BMus faculty and should be prepared to answer questions related to:Personal reflection on their past artistic and educational experiences;Their reasons for pursuing the BMus degree;How they expect the BMus degree to help them to fulfil their artistic and professional goals.The audition repertoire will vary according to each applicant’s instrument but should generally reflect a good basic technique and knowledge of repertory, and an adequate level of musicianship. Applicants are expected to submit a creative portfolio (visual arts and design work). Additionally, an interview with a panel of Department Faculty members ensures that the student understands the spectrum of the studies and academic demands and demonstrates the required commitment. The Department’s admissions panel discusses with the student his/her interests and skills and explains the academic path and the spectrum of skills to be achieved in order to lead to the degree of BA in Interior Design. Students with strong portfolio may in exceptional circumstances balance unsatisfactory academic requirements.

17/20 at high school leaving certificate and 17/20 in Chemistry and Biology (subjects of choice) οr equivalent grades
OR

17/20 High School leaving certificate and GCE A ‘Level (or IAL) in Chemistry and Biology with Grade B
OR

Upon success to the entry exams (Chemistry and Biology) organized by the University of Nicosia for candidates with at least 15/20 in the high school leaving certificate (apolyterion) and at least 15/20 in Chemistry and Biology οr equivalent grades.
OR

Upon successful completion of the foundation semester where students must take four courses (Introduction to Organic and Biological Chemistry PHAR-020, Elements of Biology PHAR-010, Physics for Pharmaceutical Sciences (PHAR110) and Pharmacy Calculus (PHAR-107) for candidates with grades lower than 15/20 and higher than 13/20 in Chemistry and Biology. Candidates must succeed grades no lower than 75% in all courses.

Graduates from other related fields like Chemistry, Medicine, Veterinary, Biology, Nursing etc can be admitted to the program. Evaluation for credit transfer is performed on a case by case basis. The maximum credits which can be transferred cannot exceed 150 ECTS. Same rule applies to Pharmacy transfer students from other accredited and recognised University.

The objective of the interview is to establish whether applicants have the appropriate skills and attributes to complete the programme successfully and to practise medicine professionally.

Applicants need to demonstrate through volunteer experience that they have an understanding of the biological, psychological and social dimensions of medicine to support their application displaying suitability for a career in medicine.
